Communications Chair: M. Leslie Armstrong a) Communicate monthly with each member of the Chapter by telephone or email; b) Accept reservations for the monthly meeting, compile and distribute the list of attendees; and c) Communicate with members as needed, i.e. for seminars and special events.
Education Chair: Becky Hammond
Event Planning Chair: Maggie Anderson a) Plan locations of all meeting of the Chapter except Installation and Student Activities; b) Negotiate contracts with restaurants; c) Bring banner, receipt books, name tags, pens, etc. to each membership meeting; d) Secure volunteers to work at the registration table; e) Secure a volunteer to the invocation; f) Reconcile the cash collected at the registration table; g) Handle the raffle (collect the funds and determine how much is given to the winner – in the case of 50/50 raffle); and h) Approve the amount billed by the restaurant before payment by the Treasurer.
Newsletter Chair: Linda Miller a) Write and edit the newsletter, each month; b) Email members; c) Maintain database d) Maintain the email database of Chapter members and email communications that go to all members (bulletin, flyers, announcements, job openings, etc.); and e) Solicit sponsors for the Newsletter/Website
Website Chair: Sherah LeBoeuf a) Maintain the chapter website
Public Relations Chair: Vacant a) Plan all aspects of the annual Public Relations luncheon (restaurant, speaker, publicity, invitations, etc); b) Update the database of Public Relations luncheon guest and attendees; c) Coordinate community service projects such as VITA, Celebration in the Oaks, Dress for Success, WYES Showboat Auction, etc.; d) Send monthly meeting information to local newspapers to be printed in their calendar sections; e) Send press releases of significant events (installation, promotions, etc.); and f) Take pictures of special meetings and events and maintain a Chapter photo album.

b) Prepare packets to distribute to students; c) Inform local universities of available Chapter Scholarships; d) Work with scholarship Trustees in selecting Chapter scholarship recipients and submittal for the national scholarship ; e) Present scholarships at the Installation luncheon f) Invite scholarship recipients to the Membership drive g) Encourage student members to join the Chapter
Membership Chair: Knica Lloyd a) Recruit new members of the Chapter; b) Create and maintain member packets with information about ASWA c) Communicate and follow-up with prospects and guests to encourage joining; d) Work to retain current members with activities such as surveys, awards, buddy systems, new member orientations, etc.; e) Contact non-renewing members and those with low involvement; f) Mail congratulations, sympathy, new baby, etc. cards to members; g) Plan the annual Membership drive for the May meeting; and h) Compile and maintain the membership roster for distribution at the July Installation, submit roster changes to national headquarter. |
